Position Description

NAEYC seeks an experienced, goal-oriented candidate to serve as the Coordinator, reporting to the Senior Director, Corporate Strategic Alliances. The Coordinator will assist in closely tracking new corporate relationships, ensuring proper procedures are followed and details are covered regarding contracts, invoices and the fulfillment of benefits or programs. The Coordinator will also assist in helping the sales team to prospect, cultivate, and fulfill sales commitments while responding to administrative tasks for the department as directed by the Senior Director.

Major Responsibilities and Essential Functions

  • Supports the implementation and logistics for corporate sponsorship, membership, and other sales initiatives at NAEYC, including helping to plan and implement new processes for conducting and tracking outreach and engagement activities, managing and routing contracts and invoices and other logistical support as needed
  • Project manages (when appropriate) various activities related to sponsorship benefit fulfillment, especially as related to sponsored activities that occur during or leading up to NAEYC events. These activities may include things such as special receptions or events, promotional opportunities, webinars or other activities
  • Helps conduct research and outreach to secure relationships with new companies
  • Works with the Senior Director to fulfill services, products or benefits related to sponsorships, group membership, and other sales activity
  • Assists when necessary in helping to develop sales proposals, outreach and reporting
  • Assists NAEYC's external sales representative in ensuring updated and appropriate sales materials and resources are current and in place
  • Ensures invoices, order confirmations, and collections for NAEYC advertising, sponsorship, group membership, and exhibit sales operations are managed in a timely and thorough manner

 

Qualifications, Knowledge, Abilities and Skills

  •  Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work and/or professional development experience
  • A minimum of 2-3 years' work experience
  • Demonstrated self-motivation
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong organizational skills to manage contracts, invoicing systems, and benefit tiers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of related technologies including constituent database management is a plus
