The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) is a professional membership organization that works to promote high-quality early learning for all young children, birth through age 8, by connecting early childhood practice, policy, and research. NAEYC advances a diverse, dynamic early childhood profession and supports all who care for, educate, and work on behalf of young children.

 

Position Description

NAEYC seeks a Conference Program Coordinator for the Meetings and Conferences Department. The Coordinator supports and coordinates specific projects for NAEYC's Professional Learning Institute and Annual Conference.

 

Major Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

  • Manage the proposal submission and peer review processes.

  • Manage the presenter, session, and scheduling databases keeping track of changes, special requests, and logistical details; prepares various conference reports.

  • Provide extensive customer service to attendees, members, presenters, and other shareholders via e-mail and phone.

  • Manage the Content Management System for the Conference Apps

  • Manage the conference websites

 

Additional Projects Include:

  • Assist with preparation of the conference final programs.

  • Assist with registration coordination.

 

Qualifications:

  • Baccalaureate degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 2-3 years' of experience in a meeting planning capacity.

  • Extensive experience with databases and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Strong attention to detail with ability to multitask.

  • Excellent Proofreader.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Must be flexible and able work well in a team environment.

 

Salary: $45-$50K, with excellent benefits and work environment.
